NOTICE
All persons participating in the Cedar Ridge High School Senior Parade do so voluntarily and at their own risk. Event participants, volunteers and spectators should practice Social Distancing and adhere to all rules and guidelines stated on this web page.  Cedar Ridge High School Project Graduation board members, volunteers, Round Rock ISD or any of its respective board members, trustees, officers, employees, contractors and its agents not responsible for accidents, injuries, illness, loss, damage to property, or death.

ANY Participants (including students, spectators and volunteers): Understand that by participating in the Cedar Ridge Project Graduation Senior Parade, held May 23rd, 2020, you assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, illnesses or damages, known or unknown, which you may incur as a result of participating.  You, individually, and on behalf of your heirs, successors, assigns and personal representatives, hereby agree to discharge, release, and hold harmless, Cedar Ridge Project Graduation, Board members
​ PARADE RULES

  • WEAPONS, SMOKING / VAPING, ALCOHOL, AND CARRYING OF BOTTLES OR CANS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • Follow SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES at all times. 
  • DO not throw CANDY, GOODIES, etc.  This goes for those in parade as well as spectators. 
  • Graduates: Pets are allowed as long as they stay in your vehicle.  They CANNOT be hanging out of your window or be in the bed of a truck. 
  • Parade participants are to drive 5 mph. and must remain 1 1/2 to 2 car lengths away from the vehicle in front of you during the parade.
  • You MAY NOT ride in the bed of a truck or outside the vehicle. 
Failure to comply with above rules is grounds for dismissal by law enforcement. 
Students:

ARRIVAL AND PARKING PROCEDURES
  • Enter the campus from Meister Lane and proceed to the large student parking lot.  Entrance off Double Creek will be closed. Suggested arrival time is 5:30pm.  
  • Should the student lot become full, overflow will be in the teacher lot.  
  • This is a first come first served line-up. You will be directed into the lineup in order of arrival into the student lot when the parade is about to begin. 
  • Should the student lot become full, overflow will be in the teacher lot.
  • Friends who want to follow each other should meet prior to arrival.  Once your entire group has arrived, proceed caravan style around the PAC.  A flagger will direct you to the student lot. The last person in your group caravan should collect a pink notecard from the flagger.  Hold this out your window to signal the next flagger that you are the last car in your group.
  • Once you enter the parking lot, you CANNOT move to change spots, nor can you save a spot for someone else. 
  • Please remain in your car/ parking spot at all times, practicing social distancing.  
  • No littering!  Parade will not begin until the parking lot is litter free.
  • TOP 10 STUDENTS – YOU WILL BE LEADING YOUR CLASS!  
    • Please identify yourselves to the attendant upon arrival so you can be placed directly into the lineup. 
    • Please arrive no later than 5:40 so we can begin lining students up behind you.  If you arrive after that time, you must go to the student lot and will not be at the front of the parade.
    • Sorry – Friends cannot caravan behind you. 

GUIDELINES FOR ALONG THE ROUTE

  • You will be driving  5mph, and must remain 1 1/2 to 2 car lengths away from the vehicle in front of you. 
  • Parents can drive students.
  • You can stand out of a sunroof if you have a separate driver. 
  • Golf carts or similar battery powered vehicles are prohibited, and you may NOT ride in the back of a truck or outside of the vehicle. 
  • No stopping once the parade has started.
  • Good conduct must be displayed throughout the parade (Ex: No explicit music, yelling of profanity, vulgar behavior etc.).
  • Make sure you have enough gas as the parade may go an hour. 
ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION
Students may Bike or Walk  - Please contact: crhspgpresident@gmail.com by noon on 5/23 to receive authorization.  Check in with the parking attendant upon arrival and you will be immediately directed into the lineup.  Practice social distancing. 
CAR DECORATING CONTEST!  WINNER RECEIVES $50 GIFT CARD!
  • Each car is automatically entered into the Car Decorating contest. 
  • Parking attendants will take your name and give you a number upon arrival. Place your number on the outside of your windshield behind the rearview mirror.  Do not block your line of sight!
  • Decorate your car before arrival.  Ideas:  School colors, banners, yard signs, shoe polish, balloons, lights, or a theme! (Please remember to follow school appropriate guidelines)
  • Judges will be located along the route.
  • Winners announced on social media at 8:30 pm that same night!


Spectators: 

  • Allow plenty of time to find your perfect spot along the parade route to cheer on the graduates.  Remember to PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING!
  • WE NEED YOU TO BE LOUD and CHEER EVERYONE ON!!
    Signs, Horns, Bells and Noise Makers are all encouraged!
  • You may set up chairs along the parade path. 
  • We request that spectators remain for the duration of the parade.  Forest Creek Drive and Double Creek Drive will be closed to traffic until parade concludes.  You may not “jump in the parade line” to exit the neighborhood. 
  • Please supervise young children and leave pets at home.
  • ALL TRASH must be removed from the neighborhood, sidewalks, parking lots, etc.
Parking:
  • If you live near the parade route please use alternative ways to arrive, such as walking, biking or golf carts. We have families from 60+ neighborhoods outside this selected area that will need to drive and park to support their graduates.
  • If you have to drive to the parade route, please look at the parade map to find parking.  There are several lots along Via Sonoma at schools and parks.  You may want your student to drop you off before heading to CR.
  • Inside lanes should remain clear for the parade route. Spectators may park along curbs of the Double Creek (only north of Gattis School) or Forest Creek Drive but must remain parked for the duration of the parade. 
  • If you park in the neighborhoods around Forest Creek Drive, please respect the residents’ property. Please do not block resident driveways, walk through lawns, or leave behind garbage.

Schedule:

6:00pm- Parade will Start:     ​
  • RRPD/ Sheriff/ SRO/ start the parade along with TOP 10, walkers, and cyclists. Parents and the community will be lined up to cheer for you along the route.
  • The parade begins by heading West along the road at the back of campus, exiting North (right) on Double Creek Dr. 
  • We will cross over Gattis School Rd (with RRPD escort) and head north until we reach Forest Creek Dr. 
  • Forest Creek Neighborhood will start immediately after.   (https://bit.ly/fcparade) ​​

  • If you know of a neighborhood parade, not listed please email: crhspgpresident@gmail.com with the coordinator’s contact information so we can make arrangements to list it. 

  • Head East on Forest Creek Dr. until we reach Red Bud Lane. At that time, students will be allowed to continue on home or to their neighborhood parade.
